Walmart Health Expands in Texas with Three New Centers
Walmart Expands Healthcare Services in Texas with New Walmart Health Centers
Walmart has recently opened three new Walmart Health centers in Texas, located in Pearland, Sugar Land, and Tomball. These centers offer residents affordable and integrated health care services, including primary care, dental, behavioral health, labs, x-ray, community health, and telehealth – all in one convenient location adjacent to a Walmart Supercenter.
Dr. David Carmouche, SVP of healthcare delivery at Walmart, expressed excitement about the expansion of Walmart Health in Texas, stating that the new locations will help address the growing demand for easy access to care for seniors and their families. These centers will offer value-based care for certain senior populations, making it easy for them to receive annual check-ups, dental cleanings, and support managing chronic conditions.
The expansion in Texas is part of Walmart’s larger effort to increase access to integrated care across the country. The retailer plans to open a total of 18 new Walmart Health centers in Texas this year, with additional locations set to open throughout the summer and fall in cities such as Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Desoto, Fort Worth, Garland, Plano, and more.
Walmart Health centers in Texas will offer care seven days a week with weekend and evening hours, as well as telehealth options on Sundays. Patients can now make appointments, input insurance information, and confirm eligibility on the Walmart Health website.
With the opening of these new centers, Walmart continues to expand its healthcare services to better serve its customers and communities. The retailer currently operates 50 Walmart Health locations in Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, and Texas, with plans to enter the Kansas City, Mo., market by the end of the year.
