Shelley Duvall, the iconic actress known for her role as Wendy Torrance in the classic horror film The Shining, has passed away at the age of 75. Her partner confirmed the news, stating that she died at her Texas home on Thursday due to complications from diabetes.

Duvall’s partner, Dan Gilroy, shared the heartbreaking news with The Hollywood Reporter, saying, “My dear, sweet, wonderful life partner and friend left us. Too much suffering lately, now she’s free. Fly away, beautiful Shelley.”

Tributes have started pouring in for the late star on social media, with fans expressing their sadness over the loss of the talented actress. One mourner on Twitter wrote, “I honestly feel so heartbroken. Shelley Duvall made me fall in love with watching actors transform on screen. truly no one like her, we lost an icon.”
