Miranda Lambert’s ‘Postcards from Texas’ Album Set to Release in September
Miranda Lambert, the acclaimed country music artist, is gearing up to release her new album, ‘Postcards from Texas,’ a tribute to her Lone Star roots. The 14-track project, recorded at Austin’s iconic Arlyn Recording Studios, showcases Lambert’s versatility as an artist, with a mix of heartfelt ballads, raucous rockers, acoustic gems, and steel guitar-driven laments.
Two tracks from the album, ‘Wranglers’ and ‘Dammit Randy,’ have already been shared, giving fans a taste of what’s to come. However, it’s the dance-floor-ready ‘Alimony’ that truly stands out, with its catchy pre-chorus and lively honky-tonk shuffle. Lambert drew inspiration for the song from a humorous moment with collaborators Shane McAnally and Natalie Hemby, turning a clever title into a full-fledged hit.
‘Alimony’ is a personal song for Lambert, drawing from her childhood experiences growing up with parents who were private investigators in Dallas. The track’s vibrant sound, produced by GRAMMY-winning producer Jon Randall, captures the essence of Texas music and Lambert’s unique perspective on love and life.
With ‘Postcards from Texas,’ Lambert promises to deliver a mix of wit and heartfelt storytelling that embodies the spirit of Texan culture. Fans can look forward to the album’s release on September 13 and can already download the lyrics for ‘Alimony’ to get a sneak peek of what’s to come.
