Super Tuesday Election Updates
In the Texas primary elections, voters in Travis County can cast their ballots at any voting center where a “Vote Here/Aqui” sign is displayed. Polling locations are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time. Significant wait times have been reported at some polling stations, including the Terrazas Branch Public Library and YMCA East Communities.
In Bastrop County, voters can find their polling location on the county clerk’s website. Hays County voters can find polling locations through a map or list on the county website. Williamson County voters can also find their polling location on the county’s website.
The primary election includes races for President of the United States, U.S. Senate, all 38 Texas U.S. representatives, Railroad commissioner, Texas Supreme Court, Court of Criminal Appeals, State Board of Education, Texas Senate, Texas House representatives, and various local positions such as district judges, sheriffs, and county commissioners.
Early voting turnout has been significant, with Republicans outvoting Democrats by more than a 2-1 ratio. The polls will be open until 7 p.m., and voters must present an acceptable form of photo ID to cast their ballot. Voters who cannot obtain an approved ID can fill out a “Reasonable Impediment Declaration” and present an alternative form of identification.
