Chris Brown Facing $50 Million Lawsuit Over Alleged Assault At Texas Concert
The R&B singer Chris Brown is facing a massive $50 million lawsuit over an alleged assault that took place at his concert in Texas last Friday. The lawsuit, filed in Harris County, Texas, names Brown, his tour promoter Live Nation, and associates Sinko Ceej, Hood Boss, and Yella Beezy as defendants.
The plaintiffs, Larry Parker, Joseph Lewis, Charles Bush, and Da Marcus Powell, claim that Brown and his entourage brutally beat them backstage at Dickies Arena. The lawsuit seeks compensatory and punitive damages exceeding $50 million, citing pecuniary losses, pain and suffering, disfigurement, mental anguish, and medical expenses.
According to the complaint, the violent incident involved Brown and his entourage surrounding the plaintiffs, throwing chairs at them, and repeatedly kicking, stomping, and beating them. The plaintiffs allege that they were severely injured in the unprovoked attack, with multiple strikes to their heads and chests.
The incident reportedly occurred after Brown’s concert at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, on July 20. The plaintiffs claim they were invited backstage and escorted there, along with 40 women, for a post-concert hang. However, the situation escalated when Brown and his crew allegedly assaulted the plaintiffs.
Attorney Tony Buzbee, representing the plaintiffs, stated, “No one should have to endure what these clients endured. We will seek the maximum amount of damages allowed by law for this egregious conduct.” This is not the first time Brown has faced legal trouble, as he was previously charged with assault in 2009 for an incident involving his then-girlfriend, Rihanna.
The lawsuit against Chris Brown highlights the serious allegations of violence and assault, and the legal battle is expected to unfold in the coming months. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
