New Performing Arts Center Coming to Round Rock Strip Mall
The city of Round Rock is set to get a new performing arts center, thanks to the input of its residents and the efforts of Stanley Properties. The venue, located in the Rock Creek Plaza near Interstate 35, will provide a much-needed entertainment option for the community.
Operated by Penfold Theatre Company, a well-established company in Central Texas, the 6,400-square-foot venue will finally give the company a permanent home after 16 years of operation. The company has produced successful talent, some of whom have even made it to Broadway.
“We are excited to offer a variety of seasonal and professional musicals, along with performances from premiere artists from around the metro area,” said Producing Artist Director Ryan Crowder. “Our goal is to keep the venue jam-packed with entertainment 365 days a year, offering something for everyone in the city.”
The revitalization of the strip mall, which already includes popular eateries like Kerbey Lane Cafe and Tumble 22, will provide a one-stop destination for dining and entertainment. City officials hope that the new performing arts center will help meet the growing demand for more cultural and entertainment options in Round Rock.
With the addition of this new venue, residents can look forward to a vibrant arts scene and a thriving community hub in the heart of Round Rock.
