Whataburger Launches Whataburger-Themed Fortnite Map and Tournament with $25,000 Prize Pool
Whataburger, the beloved Texas fast-food chain, is making a splash in the esports world with the launch of a new Whataburger-themed Fortnite map and tournament. The announcement came earlier this week, with the map going live on Monday for players to enjoy.
Fortnite, a popular online video game known for its battle royale format, allows creators to build custom maps. Whataburger teamed up with a group of creators to develop a Whataburger-themed “Bedwars” map, where players must defend their bed while attacking opponents’ bases. The last team with a standing bed wins the game.
Fans of Whataburger will be delighted to see their favorite menu items featured in the new map, including the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit, spicy ketchup, breakfast burgers, and more. Alongside the map launch, Whataburger also announced a “Breakfast in Bedwars” tournament with a $25,000 prize pool.
Players aged 13 and up can submit their entries for the tournament by posting their best clips playing the new map on X (formerly Twitter) with the tag #BreakfastInBedwars from July 8 to July 15. The top 16 submissions will compete in a qualifier on July 17, with the top four teams advancing to the main event on July 22.
The tournament will feature popular Fortnite creators and will be hosted and streamed on Twitch.tv/erena. If you’re interested in trying out the new map, the island code is 6619-8313-5969. Get ready to battle it out in the Whataburger-themed world of Fortnite!
